Inspection Reports

Here is a brief selection of comments made by the ISI inspection team following their most recent visit.

Pupils reach good standards for their ages and abilities; they are articulate and confident and are well-prepared for the next stage of their education. Results in national tests at age 11 are far above the national average.

In Years 3 to 6, pupils read well and speak very well, have good standards of numeracy and show good creative skills in art.

Behaviour around the school is very good; pupils are polite and courteous and a high level of respect exists between pupils, and between pupils and the staff or adult visitors to the school.

The provision for pupils’ personal development is very good and is a strength of the school.

The activity programme is well planned and implemented effectively. Pupils were universally enthusiastic about the programme and several regarded it as the best thing about their school.
