Blue Room
Summer Term
Week beginning 23..5.22
Dear Parents,
Friday will be our Queen's Jubilee Party Day. Children can wear their own clothes - red, white and blue. They can bring a small amount of money, perhaps £2 maximum, in change to use in the afternoon on some of the games and stalls which will be set up in the playground.
PLEASE REMEMBER - Children will need a navy blue sun hat for the Summer Term. This should not be a cap. I think there are some old ones in school that I can show you as an example of style.
Can you start to apply suncream before bringing children to school. They can bring suncream in to put more on throughout the day. Spray cream is better as we encourage the children to do it themselves!
Please can children continue to bring in something from home that they can show their friends. This needs to be something that the children like, enjoy, are familiar with etc so that they are happy to talk about the item in class. This helps the children with their communication and language skills as they talk to their friends about something of their own.
Mrs Hooper is starting to learn sign language with the children to help them with as many ways to communicate as possible. Last week, they practised the sign for 'queen', in celebration of the Queen's birthday.
Thank you for your continued support.
Many Thanks
Mrs Maher
