Michaelmas Term 2019
Week commencing 16th September
We have had another lovely week with Infant 2 class. The children are working really hard.
In Maths we have been discussing different words for subtraction and then doing subtraction sums from 7 and 8, including word problems. We have also been practising our 2x tables which you could reinforce at home if possible, thank you.
The children have also had a lesson on 3D shapes and made shapes out of plasticine.
In English the children have completed Comprehension and Writing tasks on a text called ' Little Bean' which links to him going on holiday.
The topics for this term are 'Ourselves' and 'Sound and Hearing' in Science, and 'Holidays and Celebrations', looking mainly at the Seaside, in Humanities. Show and Tell is on Monday and the children can bring in any item related to these topics or to a recent birthday!
Our trip this term is to the Cotswold Farm Park on Tuesday 24th September, a letter has been sent out with the details. It will support the Science work we are covering on animals and their young.
