Michaelmas Term 2019
Week commencing Monday 18th November
We have had another good week in Infant 2 and the children have coped very well with their tests. As I mentioned before these tests are just one means of Teacher Assessment and certainly nothing to worry about at this stage. Exam results are not included on reports at Michaelmas but if there were any concerns we would notify you.
The Junior music concert was absolutely wonderful and may inspire some new musicians or singers amongst the children.
In our DT lesson on Monday we will be preparing and making a fruit salad and the children brought home suggestions of what they would like to include. Please can they bring these fruits in on Monday 18th, I will provide peelers, knifes for chopping, chopping boards and a clear plastic cup to transport it home in, thank you.
Dates to note - w/c Monday 18th November is Anti-bullying week and the children have been asked to design a poster for our display in the Hall. We will be having a non-uniform day on Wednesday 20th November, referring to the phrase 'Wear Blue Be You' in conjunction with anti-bullying.
Saturday 30th November is the School Christmas Fayre from 1 :00pm.
Wednesday 11th December is our Christingle service at Holy Trinity Church 6:30 pm
The topics for this term are 'Ourselves' and 'Sound and Hearing' in Science, and 'Holidays and Celebrations', looking mainly at the Seaside, in Humanities. Show and Tell is on Monday and the children can bring in any item related to these topics or to a recent birthday!
Please remember we have a wow board in the classroom to display any achievements the children wish to share.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries or concerns.
