Week commencing Monday 11th October
Winter uniform from today!
Thank you for coming to see me last week to discuss your child's progress. I can't believe we are already in the last week of this half term. The children have all worked very hard and will have certainly earned a break by the end of this week.
The Phonics focus this week is words starting with 'g' with the 'j' sound with some 'j' words where the j comes before an a, o and u. In English we will be looking at 'The Hodgeheg' by Dick King Smith. In Maths, we will be continuing with vertical addition of two-two digit numbers and 'bridging' where the children will be carrying over a 10.
On Wednesday afternoon the children will be going to the Holy Trinity Church for a Harvest Festival rehearsal. The Harvest Festival service will take place on Friday afternoon. You should have received a letter about this.
Please remember the 'Wow! board in the classroom for any amazing things the children have achieved.
I am in school each morning from Monday to Thursday and am available to see you before school from 08.30 should you have a concern or issue you need to discuss.
