Classroom Blackboard

Junior 1
Dear J1 Parents,
Week commencing Monday 23rd May 2022
This week is exam week. I have already discussed and practised calming techniques and exam preparedness with the J1's.They have an exam timetable on the classroom notice board as well as an electronic copy which has been sent home for parents to see so you can help them to revise for the next days exams.
Homework next week will be revising for the exams.
At the end of the week , Thursday there is a school disco kindly arranged by the SPSPA which the children are looking forward to attending to let off some steam after working hard.
On the Friday is our school Jubilee Celebrations. The houses are competing for house points and so each house will have a similar set of stalls. The most mouthwatering is the long awaited cake stall. So please may I encourage you to bake or buy for Friday 27th. There is a full day's program of activities and events with a Jubilee, picnic style street party lunch, games, quizzes, not forgetting the National Anthem both sung and signed. The houses activities are, but not exclusively, as follows , Macbeth, guess the name of the corgi, pick a straw to win a prize, Crown Hoopla, Hamlet, guess the number of jewels on the crown, Treasure map, shooting basketball. Most items will only be 5p-20p. The children could bring some money if you wish them to browse the stalls and buy cakes or play the games. The dress code for the day is red, white and blue, our Union Flag colours.
The week following is a well earned break and then on to the second half of the summer Term.
I check the mail before and after work and if you have any queries or concerns please do not hesitate to email me. I am never too busy to listen to you or your child's concerns. Also if you want to pop in to see me in the J1 classroom I am available before school from 08:15 to 08:30 and some evenings after school usually Monday, and Friday unless there is a prior diary engagement, also where covid arrangements permit it.
Best regards
Linda Thomas
