As you are well aware the school will be closed from Friday 20th March following the government advice.
A work pack for week 11 has been sent home for all children including J3 .
Also J3 have an Easter Holiday pack to complete.
I have included a copy of the notes here sent with their take home packs.
Dear J3 Week 11 work
Please take all of your text and work books home.
HM work You have been set work already in your books. Please do it at home on Monday and Wednesday as normal lesson times. 60 mins for each session. I would like to see a picture of your work emailed to email@example.com after each session and I will give you feedback about your corrections via a skype/talktalk/videolink/phonecall. You can tick all of the work you have done correctly and I will only comment on your corrections.
Maths Assessment You have work set in your books, please do it for 60 mins and send a picture of your work emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will give you feedback about your corrections via a skype/talktalk/videolink/phonecall. You can tick all of the work you have done correctly and I will only comment on your corrections.
Grammar, You will need to do all of the grammar checks at the back of your Fiction and Non Fiction books. Again I would like to see a picture of your work emailed to email@example.com and I will give you feedback about your corrections via a skype/talktalk/videolink phonecall. You can tick all of the work you have done correctly and I will only comment on your corrections. Don’t forget to sing the grammar song before starting.
Pastoral care. I will make an appointment to speak to you and your parents about your work, any pastoral care issues and anything else you need to discuss with me separately from your main academic work.
Latin, Please learn the vocabulary you have already studied so far. The site Minimus Latin is a lovely resource for you to investigate, there are games and stories, songs and plays which you could enjoy. Remember it is a 30 minute lesson. You will not be marked on this.
Computing Please take time to watch BBC Bitesize KS2 , computer science clips. It is a great way to learn about everything computing. Also it is fun. You should also do Hour of Code creating and coding games, fun and educational and don’t forget to keep your certificates as you earn them.
Reading Please read widely, fiction and non fiction, suggested reading list for week 11, Aquila, National Geographic Kids, The History Magazine, First News, also anything you enjoy, please read as much as you can.
Don’t forget your Easter School Holidays start on 2nd April until 28th April. Do the Easter Hopliday work sent home by Mrs Himsworth. Enjoy the holidays. After the Easter Holidays you work will be set for the summer term and you will be sent your new set of work by email.
As your Form Teacher I am here to help you with your learning. Enjoy this different way of working, it will be a wonderful new learning journey together which I look forward to with a great deal of eager anticipation.

If you wish to see me before or after school I am available at the following times,
Tuesday before and after school, Wednesday before school, Thursday before school, Friday before school and alternate after school evenings due to supervision duties.
I am available between 08:00 and 08:45 in J3 classroom as after 08:45 I will be teaching.
I am never too busy to discuss your concerns about your child , also I am never too busy to speak to , or rather listen to, your child if they feel they need to talk to me.
