Week beginning 10th May 2021
On Wednesday 12th May the J3's have a growing up talk which replaces their computer studies lesson. It is a very simple and basic talk which covers puberty, healthy lifestyle, personal hygiene and saying no to things which can be harmful to health like smoking and alcohol. It focuses more on growing up and tries to help the children look forward to making sure they live as healthy a lifestyle as possible.
The J3's have settled back into the learning routines and now need encouraging to focus on self confidence, concentrating in lessons and being kind and tolerant towards others.
For the Summer Concert we will be preparing a poem with sign language to demonstrate inclusivity, the rainbow of skills and attributes we all posess as human beings.
Please note the school disco has been postponed so it can take place after the appropriate covid -19 embargos have been lifted to make it a more enjoyable treat for the children. I am sure they will appreciate Science Day at the end of the exam week.
Please look at and like the school facebook page to receive a Friday image and update. The last pictures were enjoyed by many parents. The children in the current pictures were obviously enjoying themselves in our safe walled playground .
If the children need to talk about their experiences during lockdown or how they are feeling , as a staff, we are very sympathetic to the children's emotional state and are well prepared to listen to them if they would like to talk to us.
