Lunch and tuck
All children have school lunches, which are prepared and cooked on the premises by our chef. We have been awarded a 5 star hygiene rating. Lunches are served in the Dining Room and packed lunches are provided when children are out on an educational visit.
We run a two-week rolling Summer or Winter menu that provides at least two portions of the recommended '5 a day'. Vegetarian meals are always available and we can cater for special medical diets and religious requirements. We really encourage children to eat at least a small portion of the main course.
Children in our Nursery are given a drink and healthy snack. Older children can bring in a healthy snack for morning and afternoon break and we ask that parents follow the recommended tuck list below. We do not allow any tuck containing nuts, sesame seeds, strawberries or kiwi fruit as we have children who are acutely allergic to them and in the interests of allergy safety, we do not allow children to share their tuck. Our Parents Association provide school water bottles for all new pupils and we encourage children to sip water throughout the day.
