School Lunch
All children are expected to have lunch at school and the cost of meals is on the termly bill. School lunches are prepared and cooked on the premises by the school chef. We have just been awarded a 5 star hygiene rating again.
We run a 2 week rolling menu which changes between Winter and Summer. The school will automatically provide packed lunches when the children are out of school on an educational visit. Lunch is served in the School Dining Room. Vegetarian meals are available each day and special medical diets and religious requirements can be catered for. The children will be given at least a small helping of the main course, and they are encouraged, not forced to eat. We attempt to provide at least 2 portions of the recommended 5 a day within each lunch. Fruit is provided as an alternative to pudding.
In Nursery, a drink and healthy snack will be provided.
In Main School children may bring tuck with them. This should be a recommended snack in accordance with the suggest tuck list below. All should be contained in a small transparent plastic box with a sealed lid. On joining, the children will be given a school water bottle and encouraged to sip water throughout the day, Replacement water bottles can be purchased from the school office at a cost of £2.50. Please remember to label your child's uniform and possessions to avoid any lost items.
It is most important that products containing nuts, sesame seeds, strawberries or kiwi fruits are not brought into school as there are children who suffer from an acute allergy to them. In addition children will not be allowed to share tuck to avoid any allergic reactions.
